Well, guys, I think this is it. The end of Heaven Bound. (No, this isn’t an April Fools joke.) I’ve found as of late, that I’m really, really unhappy with how HB’s coming out; I don’t really like the story, and the workload is too much for me at the moment. I have so much else that’s far more important for me to get done that in a way, it’s just in the way all of the time. I feel as though it’s not reaching its potential, at all...I’m just tired of thinking about it at all. Perhaps I initially went into the manga business just to get noticed, and that’s why I’m so put off. I dunno anymore, really. In any case, as little as it’s really doing as far as reaching out to people (and as little time as I have to devote to it), I think I’m going to abandon the project for now. I might start it again later, I don’t know at the moment. I might even rewrite it or something to that effect. It might not even end up being a manga if I bring it back. Who knows. But I need a break. I really do. Right now, I have stuff in my life that I need to work out, too. Nothing seems to be going right lately, and I’m always depressed these days, so I need time to work through that. Anyhow, for the moment, this is goodbye to HB. Sorry to everyone who’s disappointed, but...I just can’t keep going. Each time I start writing in the script, I find myself stopping, and trying to figure out a way to shorten the story, just so I can get it done faster. And that’s no good at all. :\ I hope we’ll see it return again later, in some form or fashion, but...for now, it’s canceled.

That's alright, Calbach. I understand how it's making you feel. ^_^ Are you still going to sell copies of Heaven Bound in the CM store?

That's good. I was still happy enough with the series to consider buying one eventually.

Eh...it's just not worth it anymore. :\ I hate the story, I hate the workload. Like I said, I might start it up again later, but...not now. I have too much to deal with right now.

aw, but cal, now how am i s'possed to find out if elijah dies or not? Seems pretty obvious to me. Just take a look at Proverbs 7. ________________________ "At the window of my house I looked out through the lattice.
"I saw among the simple, I noticed among the young men, a youth who lacked judgment.
"He was going down the street near her corner, walking along in the direction of her house
"at twilight, as the day was fading, as the dark of night set in.
"Then out came a woman to meet him, dressed like a prostitute and with crafty intent.
"(She is loud and defiant, her feet never stay at home;
"now in the street, now in the squares, at every corner she lurks.)
"She took hold of him and kissed him and with a brazen face she said:
"'I have fellowship offerings at home; today I fulfilled my vows.
"'So I came out to meet you; I looked for you and have found you!
"'I have covered my bed with colored linens from Egypt.
"'I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes and cinnamon.
"'Come, let's drink deep of love till morning; let's enjoy ourselves with love!
"'My husband is not at home; he has gone on a long journey.
"'He took his purse filled with money and will not be home till full moon.'
"With persuasive words she led him astray; she seduced him with her smooth talk.
"All at once he followed her like an ox going to the slaughter, like a deer stepping into a noose till an arrow pierces his liver, like a bird darting into a snare, little knowing it will cost him his life.
"Now then, my sons, listen to me; pay attention to what I say.
"Do not let your heart turn to her ways or stray into her paths.
"Many are the victims she has brought down; her slain are a mighty throng.
"Her house is a highway to the grave, leading down to the chambers of death."
Elijah was the youth who lacked judgment. Harmony was dressed like a prostitute with crafty intent. With seductive words, she led the poor boy astray. Elijah was the latest of the victims of Harmony Stillwater, whose house was a highway to the grave, leading down to the chambers of death. The parallels are immense!

Is been a long time since I wrote something here, I am very sorry to read that you pause your manga, i think have great potential, to reach people that had sexual problems, I know you have a passion for that story calbhach, just take a good break, rest on the Lord and come back with new life, in my experience I am working in the GP anime, and I have to take my time, other wise I am going to get burn out, you don't have to finish some pages every week, just to feel your manga keep going forward, rest for a while, let your motivation be that your manga story is going to reach a lot of young people with sexual addition, don't give up yet, just rest. ivan

Awww....but I love Heaven Bound! You're so good at weaving good stories, especially to put us in suspense! And the way you ended it, my gosh! But I understao much. I don't get why you'd hate the story, though. It's a unique concept, and should be adapted into an anime someday. But it's your project, and we have no say. But just know it was a BRILLIANT story. And if you never do finish it...could you at least tell us how the story was going to play out? Like does Elijah die? What happens to Victor? Who's the strange guy with the lizard mutation? What's Harmony up to? But seriously, though, I will be praying for you. Just trust God, and let Him lead you. I wish you all the best in whatever you do in the future. ^_^

Sorry to hear you've been depressed and having problems Cal. I'll be praying for you. I think we should all understand you're busy and there are many other things going on in your life, if you think canceling Heaven Bound for now is the best answer then it's fine with us.~ Just as long as it's what you really want to do with HB.
I never really followed Heaven Bound, but the random parts I read were quite good, so don't be to hard on it and yourself, okay?

I'm so proud of your decision, Cal; it took a lot to stop something you worked long hours on and had so much ambition in. Obviously the decision was not an easy one but only you yourself know what's best. God tells us that He will bring success when all is devoted to Him, but success is not measured by human standards. When we use our talents we are successful and we please Him. What you did was complete a first volume (not easy!) and had it published. You have to consider your age, your experience, and the fact that this was the first big story you've ever done. How can anyone complain? And what right does anyone have to critique a first novel written by someone who wants to help others? I'd like to see them show everyone their first ANYTHING (they'd keep quiet). God gave you gifts which are being refined NOW, so don't get down on yourself, this is a learning process. Everyone goes through these periods. Right now you're learning and developing, and with what you've accomplished you should really be proud of yourself, it's such a testimony to everyone. You have so much talent.
God bless your future endeavors! And keep praying that God will allow you to use your gifts wherever He directs. Sometimes we have our own mindset of what we should be doing, but your convictions will determine your direction. And I know He'll help you along the way and give you insight. I'm a prime example of that.

I respect your decision Cal. I know it's not easy to write a manga (I haven't updated mine for like months). If you sense that God is telling you to drop this particular story, then I suggest you do so. I will say that, The Great Creator has blessed you with a gift Cal, and I believe you can reach out to so many people with it. God will guide you in the right path. He'll never lead you astray, and He'll be with you through every step.
